For adults with intellectual disabilities, the sky's the limit!

Welcome to Emma's Education Center.  We are a "Learning in a Functional Environment" education program for adults with intellectual disabilities.  We are housed in Garland, Texas, in a private home.  The private home setting gives us an advantage to teach home living skills that is so greatly needed to function in today's world.

Within the confines of our home setting, the Wranglers (they are students, but we call them Wranglers) are taught the basic fundamental skills of reading, writing, math and practical education such as telling time and safety guidelines.  Wranglers are also taught how to prepare meals for themselves (everyone helps), clean their surroundings and socialize with each other.

Our Wranglers participate in two field trips per month to be out in the community, as well as special field trips such as celebrating birthdays. We even have extracurricular Saturdays in where they get together for events.

Our Farm Project (formerly known as the Horse Project) also teaches them how to cultivate a farm by growing vegetables, raising chickens for their eggs, and managing the care of our horses.  Our Wranglers are riding one day a week with assistance, and several of our Wranglers are involved in work study to feed and take care of our horses on a daily basis.

We invite you to take a look at us and see for yourself what a difference being involved can make.  Please go to our contact page to schedule an appointment for a tour and see how you can enroll your own Wrangler for our program!

WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EDUCATOR.  WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE AGAINST RACE OR CREED WHEN WE TEACH OR  PROVIDE EXTRACURRICULAR AND COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES.
